October the 18 & 19 will see Montejaque’s famous re-enactment of their famous and very real battle of the bridge!
The villagers choose a side and then dress up and play a role….great fun and pretty exciting too!

Although Montejaque and the surrounding villages have things on nearly every month July & August are 2 of the busiest months for celebrations. Below are just some of the events taking place now and over the next month:
-Cultural week in Jimera del Ibar (all sorts of cultural events, workshops concerts)
-Feria de la Cruze (Montejaque neighbourhood feria)
-Campanitas (in Montejaque) water fight day including lots of tapas.
-Benoajan station mini feria (with water fights, sangria and chorizo)
-Cultural week in Montejaque (medieval market, candles lighting the streets and concerts)
-Feria in Montejaque (concerts, flamenco, stalls, talent contests, bingo etc.)

August sees the return of our very popular annual cultural week & Feria in Montejaque.
Firstly is the Cultural week has a medieval market, the streets are lit up with nightlights and there are lots of stalls and activities to enjoy!
After that is the Feria with flamenco, live bands, lots of tapas & sangria and plenty of things to see and do.

From the 15th of August the fantastic twice daily Flamenco show will be returning to Ronda!
Join us to celebrate our neighbouring village’s cultural week and Pileta Rock festival, a week of cultural activities and a music festival in Benaojan. Starts 27th June!
